Windowing refers to the practice of sequentially releasing content across different distribution platforms over time. For films, the traditional window is: theatrical release → PVOD → DVD/Blu-ray → SVOD/AVOD. Each "window" has a different price point and audience. Streaming disrupted traditional windowing significantly.
