Explanation

Licensed content is movies and TV shows that a streaming service pays to host but does not own. The service buys time-limited rights from studios or distributors. Licensed content can be removed when deals expire or studios take the rights back for their own platforms. This is why shows and movies sometimes disappear from streaming services.
