Geo-spoofing
rightsMaking your internet connection appear to originate from a different country than your actual location.
Explanation
Geo-spoofing means disguising your real location online by routing your connection through servers in another country, usually with a VPN or Smart DNS service. For streaming, geo-spoofing lets users access content libraries from other regions that are blocked in their country because of licensing agreements. Streaming platforms fight geo-spoofing by detecting and blocking known VPN and proxy IP address ranges.
