Asia-Pacific has a diverse streaming landscape beyond Netflix and Disney+. Australia has Stan and Binge; Japan has U-NEXT; India has JioHotstar; South Korea has Wavve, Watcha, and Tving.

Asia-Pacific goes well beyond Netflix and Disney+. Australia has a set of strong local services. Japan has a dominant domestic platform in U-NEXT. India is dominated by JioHotstar. South Korea has three competitive local platforms. Here is the country-by-country breakdown for 2026.

Australia

Australia has one of the most competitive streaming markets in the region:

  • Netflix — ~8,000 titles, strong local and international content
